Meet Laura
Respiratory Specialist Nurse and Educator
LR Respiratory Training & Consultancy was established in 2016 by Laura Rush, a primary care nurse passionate about respiratory care wanting to share her knowledge and enthusiasm with other healthcare professionals. The business was incorporated into a limited company in March 2023 and delivers education across many ICBs, PCNs & training hubs nationally.

After 14 years’ experience in primary care, Laura is now working as an independent respiratory nurse specialist. She was the respiratory lead in her last practice for 7 years & continues her role of Respiratory Champion for her local PCN. Working in a more central role she is delivering training to staff & clinical care to patients in Somerset.

Laura has a particular interest in asthma in adults & children & young people, COPD & spirometry.
Laura sits on the Association of Respiratory Nurses (ARNS) Education & Research subcommittee & is a core member of the Asthma Right Care team. She previously sat on the Primary Care Respiratory Society (PCRS) Education Committee for 4 years & was a contributor to their Fit to Care document which acts as guidance as to the skills, knowledge & training required by HCPs working with patients with a respiratory condition.
